*This is a nice example of a daughter following in her father’s footsteps regarding what each gave their lives to even though God’s calling is on each individual life across the generations.

Mrs. Barbara Scotchmer later became Mrs. Barbara Winter, Ralph Winter’s second wife. She was also the second wife of George Scotchmer featured in this write-up. She married each man after their first wives passed away and really served each one when their health required them to have a loving and devoted caregiver.

This illustrates the great blessing of community living. Mrs. Roberta Winter has been diagnosed with her multiple myeloma and is less mobile as a result. So ladies in her Christian mission community volunteer to be with her, take care of her and help her at home while her husband and four daughters are unavailable. As you see, this is right over the holidays in December. She was living in Pasadena, California.

*”Warp and Woof” is a mission resource written by Dr. Ralph Winter, and Beth and Becky are two of his daughters.

This dates to when Dr. Ralph Winter was a professor at the School of World Mission of Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.
